The Miles Group CWP Course

Service Description

"The Miles Group CWP class" is for members of the Miles Party. This class is for individuals wanting to obtain their SC CWP Permit. The SC CWP permit will allow citizens to carry a concealed handgun for their personal or family’s safety. Students will receive the necessary training and instruction needed to obtain their SC Concealed Carry Permit (CWP). Students are required to take and pass the CWP written exam with a passing score of 70% or higher. Upon successful completion of the written exam students will conduct a live fire qualification with their personal handgun. Students most hit 35 out of 50 shots on a standard B27 target. Students who fail to meet the standard on their written exam or handgun qualification will not be awarded their certificate of completion. Note: *You must be 21 years of age to enroll in this course*. Course fee $65. Course Lesson Plan: 1. Statutory and case law of South Carolina relating to handguns and to the use of lethal and deadly force. 2. Information on handgun use and safe gun handling skills. 3. Proper storage practice for handguns with an emphasis on storage practices that reduces the possibility of accidental injury to a child. 4. Fundamentals of marksmanship 5. Live Fire exam 6. Legal provisions of prohibited carry locations as a SC CWP permit holder. 7. Recommendation of proper selection of personal firearm that is best for the shooter. 8. Instruction on where and how to apply and the related documents to obtain your Concealed Carry Permit. 9. Proper concealed carry position and holster selection. 10. Drawing from the holster. Things you need to bring to class: 1. Your personal handgun that you intend on carrying as your concealed carry with the correct holster.) Handguns can be rented for an additional fee of $50 from our company if needed. 2. Ear and Eye Protection (Prescription Eyeglasses are expectable). 3. Close Toe shoes (Boots, Sneakers etc.) (No high heels). 4. Sturdy belt with jeans or tactical pants (No sweatpants, tank tops, short or Sportswear). 5. Baseball cap with visor 6. 50 to 100 rounds of Factory Target ammunition in the original package (No Reloads!!!) 7. Notepad and something to write with. 8. Valid Military ID and Driver's License. Note!!! Absolutely no "High Point Firearms!!!"

Please give 48hrs notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. No refunds will be given for cancelations or no shows. If you need to reschedule your course fees will be moved to your reschedule course date.
